Shannon Curley
Shannon Curley is an avian and movement ecologist who studies bird migration. She uses weather surveillance radar to model migration intensity, altitude distributions, and spatio-temporal patterns. Her research examines how human activities influence migration and how changes in migration distance and timing can shape community structure. She previously contributed to BirdCast through research on offshore bird migration in the western Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, applying radar-based analyses to inform offshore wind energy planning and support conservation and mitigation strategies in emerging offshore wind regions.
