A migration forecast gets the broadcast treatment!

For many years the BirdCast team has been excited by the prospect of migration forecasts appearing on television (of course, this was long before various Internet video platforms went … viral!). Indeed, at the outset of the project, 25 years ago, there was a strong desire to have bird migration forecasts appear on outlets like The Weather Channel. 25 years, much research published and posted and knowledge shared, and much new technological advance later, BirdCast team members that are also undergraduate meteorology students at Cornell University are taking some fantastic first steps at video forecasts.
